Calgary Food Blogger Bake Sale (HOLIDAY EDITION)

CFBBS Holiday 2012 Poster

It’s that time again folks!  The Calgary Food Blogger Bake Sale (Holiday Edition) is happening this Saturday, December 8 at Casel Marche  (tables will be set up in both J. Webb Wine Merchant and Market 17).  All baked goods will be donated from your very favourite (and mine) local food bloggers.   This years proceeds from the bake sale will be going to Calgary’s Meals on Wheels, a pretty awesome charity in my books.

The last bake sale we had  I ended up making these Cranberry Walnut Lemon Scones, and this time around I wasn’t sure on what to make.  Cookies, loafs, scones (again?)-  I haven’t had time to research what I wanted to do (due to work being crazy) and so instead I reached into my latest purchase,  Bouchon Bakery by Sebastien Rouxel and with a batch of Meyer Lemons I got from Costco, I found a recipe that seems quite do-able.

So here it is folks,  Anna’s Appetite will be doing Bouchon Bakery’s Lemon-Poppy Seed Muffins.  I did a test run and so far their pretty darn good (knock on wood that I don’t screw it up for the bake sale).  But keep in mind there’s tonnes of amazing cooks, bakers, and food lovers that will be making delicious goodies at this bake sale.  I mean look at the roster:

A Pretty Life in the Suburbs
Bakersbeans
Ceci n’est pas un food blog
Calgary is Awesome
Chocolate & Ginger
Clockwork Lemon
Club Club
Dan’s Good Side
Dining Room Empire
Eat Chu
Food Mamma
For the Love of…
foodthreeways
Global Dish
Heather’s EATS
Leah Van Loon
Miss Foodie’s Gourmet Adventures
Prairie Summers
Scrumptiously Fit Food
The Vegan Cookbook Aficionado
yumyumyummers

……. and more.

That’s a pretty impressive list of people that will be baking towards this bake sale (seriously check them out).  These are hard core people who know their stuff.   Therefore,  you cannot pass up an opportunity to donate to a good cause and in return gorge on mouth drooling carbs (made by people who really really love them).

Also, if you’re not able to attend, no worries!  Just help us out and  tweet about the bake sale using hashtag #yycbakesale  or join the event on Facebook and spread the word so maybe your friends and followers can grab some of these goodies for you.  🙂

Our goal this year is go above $2500.00 and I’m pretty sure we can do it.  All you gotta do is go to  Casel Marche 2505 – 17th Ave SW on Saturday, December 8 between 9 am – 4pm, make sure to bring some cash,  grab some goodies and meet your favourite bloggers.

Hopefully we’ll see you there!
